Imagine if we could unite the planet in support of a common goal. That’s the idea behind World Pancreatic Cancer Day. November 15, 2018, is a day we will unite and make our voices heard. According to a worldwide survey, sixty percent of people know “almost NOTHING” about pancreatic cancer. It’s time to elevate the global conversation and draw attention to pancreatic cancer and the need for greater awareness. Employees of Marquette Bank, a locally-owned neighborhood bank, recently held their 8th walk in Orland Park in remembrance of Evelyn Schap, a retired senior manager, who passed away from pancreatic cancer in 2010. READ MORE

06/27/2018: Family Matters: Understanding Your Risk For GI Cancer
Dr. Sonia Kupfer, gastroenterologist, and Jessica Stoll, genetic counselor with the Gastrointestinal Cancer Risk and Prevention Clinic at UChicago Medicine, work with patients and families at risk for gastrointestinal malignancies due to genetic factors or family history.  They will discuss updates in hereditary factors and familial risk for cancer in the emerging era of precision medicine. READ MORE


02/18/2018: Run for a Cure
On February 18, 2018 members of Team Toni will be participating in a 5K, Half Marathon, or Marathon in the Austin Marathon to raise money for the fight against pancreatic cancer. The goal is to raise $60,000 to help advance research, fund early detection screening, and ultimately discover a cure. READ MORE
