Holiday Party 2015

The Holiday Party Spirit!

11/23/15.  A blustery winter storm was no match for the Rolfe Young Professional Board’s annual Holiday Party, which saw over 300 stylish YPB supporters pack into Underground Chicago, shake off the cold, and celebrate late into the night!  Partygoers reveled in the holiday spirit, setting new records for fundraising and attendance, and ultimately helped YPB raise more than $25,000 that will benefit pancreatic cancer research.

Glasses overflowed with craft cocktails and good cheer, as the Underground’s DJ kept the energetic crowd on its feet and raffle tickets were sold by the dozen.  Amidst the festivities, Holiday Party co-chairs, Jamee Pearltstein and Katie Brungardt, beamed with joy.  “This cause is so personnel for so many of us,” observed Ms Brungardt, who lost her stepfather, Craig Herter, to pancreatic cancer.  “Feeling this degree of enthusiasm and support for YPB and the Rolfe mission is an indescribable privilege.  It gives us so much hope for the future.”

Ms. Brungardt’s excitement was readily echoed all throughout the crowd.   Numerous guests spoke earnestly of their passion for Rolfe, YPB and early detection, and repeat attendees marveled at the fundraiser’s continued growth.  “I’ve come to this event for the last three years running,” offered Piet Walvoord.  “It’s always a wildly fun night – and it’s success is incredibly impressive.  This is at least twice the size of the first one I went to.”

Elsewhere, a pair of first-time Holiday Party-goers, Katherine and Lucy, moved by the evening’s video presentation, found YPB’s recruitment chair, and asked the Rolfe Foundation’s favorite, most gratifying questions:  “How can we get involved?  How can we help?”

The Rolfe Young Professionals Board thanks them, you, and all our supporters, for your on-going interest in our work, and for your support of early detection pancreatic cancer research.
